Working Abroad/Volunteering
Abroad
Many students are interested in working in a country outside of the
U.S. This can be a great opportunity for recent graduates to learn
about different cultures and have some unique and valuable experiences.
Some people return after a few years, others decide to stay. Still
others find a way to experience many different cultures and countries
in their early career.
Look through this list of websites to help you in your search.

Alternatives to 9-5
Not everyone goes directly into a permanent, full-time job immediately
after graduation. If you are looking for some alternatives, there
are many programs geared towards recent college graduates that might
be right for you.
Consider teaching English abroad, a one or two year service program,
a sailing adventure, independent travel, or doing temporary work as
a method of career exploration. Here is a site that can help you think

Fellowship Information
Fellowships provide funding for significant and often unique work
experience that may otherwise not be available to applicants. They
provide short-term financial support to accompany research or experiential
opportunities that last from a few months to several years. Most fellowships
require at least a college degree; however, there are some fellowships
that allow undergraduate students to participate.
Fellowships support activities such as graduate study in a specific
field, research initiatives, work exploration, leadership activities
and more.
